2019 VANS CUSTOM CULTURE ARTIST:
MICHAEL C. HSIUNG Michael C. Hsiung was raised in the San Fernando Valley where exposure to skateboarding, heavy metal, comics and fantasy art fueled his imagination. He is a self-taught artist and illustrator known for his line drawn characters, from bearded dudes to strange hybrid creatures. His artwork has been exhibited in venues like the Chinese American Museum and the Vincent Price Art Museum, and he most recently participated as one of the artists at the 2018 Vans US Open of Surfing.
