David Hockney David Hockney is considered one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century. His style of photography is abstract and full of color. He takes photography and transforms it into pure artwork. He takes multiple photos of one scene in different angles and brings them together to make a photo montage, creating a single image, adding depth and feeling in a different way.
Photograph a model or yourself, shoot 10 different photos. Try different angles, different expressions, or moods. Place the photos into Photoshop each with different layers. Cut them into shapes and place them into an interesting arrangement. If you do not use them all, leave them in as layers so I can see your 10 photos. Hand in both files psd and jpeg files, labeled with your name_fragmented.
Multiple ways to work
Draw with the rectangular Marque tool on the correct layer. Then copy and paste the areas onto new layers. Move and free Transform (Ctrl T) the layers to make a cool design.
Copy (Ctrl C) and Paste (Ctrl V) You may do this project how you think it will look best and cut and paste if you wish. You may use the Rectangular Marquee Tool or the Elliptical Marquee Tool.
Slice Tool These tools can be found hiding under the Crop Tool, click on the tiny bottom a right arrow key on the crop tool button to reveal them. Or add them to your tool bar by clicking the three dots… to add tools. Face Slice Effect in Photoshop #Shorts - YouTube
Take one or two images and cut them into shapes. Create an artwork that feels completely different from the original photo. Hand in your original photos and the final artwork. These do not have to be portraits.
