Projects in Mr. Palombo's art classes are graded on... 25% - Following Directions
25% - Craftsmanship / Neatness / Quality (this includes photos, art paper, writing and art)
25% - Creativity & Design 25% - Effort / Good Use of Class Time / Taking Care of Supplies
All work must be submitted electronically!
I grade all work electronically, so work is date and time stamped through Schoology. This ensures there is no lost work. Students are required to save original work with their name on the front until after it has been graded. This helps if there is an issue or in case, I require you to rework, add something to your artwork or submit work to an art show.
Photos of Your Art
When taking photos of your artwork it is mandatory that all artwork has your name on the front and is legible in the photo. You need to take a good quality photo that is in focus with good lighting that I can easily read your name and see the details of your artwork. Make sure not to back light the paper where you can see through it. If you have extra background in your photo crop it out so your project looks nice.
Late Work
excused absence...
If you are handing in late work with an excused absence.
Add a note in Schoology with the project letting me know you had an excused absence. Make sure to have your name and hour in the note otherwise your project will be graded as late, and you will lose points.
Late work that has been Graded!
Write me an e-mail with your attached file. Telling me all the important information so I can grade you. If missing information, you will be missing your grade. Late work is accepted for a reduced grade.
I do not accept any late work the last week of a semester or quarter.

Excused Absences: If there is an excused absence, you are allowed one class period per absence day to make up work and you must notify with the letter about the late work.
Plagiarism Never copy someone else’s work. Even coping work online is considered plagiarism. Be creative do your own thinking and your own work. Projects that are plagiarized go in as a zero and you may not make that work up. I notify your parents about your poor choice and write a note in your permanent file for other teachers, schools, and administrators to know that your plagiarized in my class.
Bathroom / Hallway Behavior Use the bathroom during passing time before or after class. Never during instruction time, or when I am talking. Never during clean up time. Not more than once a week in my class. Always ask permission first, sign out, sign back in, and take the bathroom pass.
If you miss use your bathroom privileges, being disruptive in the hallway, using your phone, or any other problem, you will lose your bathroom privileges for the entire semester! You will be held responsible for your own behavior.
